I was born and raised in Salt Lake City. I have been happily married for twelve years. Six and a half years ago I was blessed with a beautiful baby girl. I love animals and have a very sweet Chihuahua and a handful of fish.
I started my career at Pleasant Green Elementary, in Magna Utah. I spent six years teaching first grade at that Pleasant Green. In 2010 I moved to Morningside Elementary where I had the opportunity to be part of the French dual immersion program. I'm very excited to start my thirteenth year of teaching and can't wait to get to know all my new first grade friends.
I graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education in 2004. I continued my education getting an English Language Learner Endorsement from Weber State University. After completing the course work at Weber State, I continued on to obtain a GIfted and Talented Endorsement from Utah State University. From there I went on to Southern Utah University were in 2010 I received a Masters in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Elementary Math. I am currently working on an endorsement in technology.
